MITCalc for Pro/ENGINEER - v. 1.40 released!
The MITCalc engineering calculations were extended by:
- New worm gearing calculation (DIN, AGMA)
The calculation is used for geometrical and strength designs and worm gearing check. Gearing can be designed for selected safety coefficients including optimization e.g. for weight, efficiency, centre-line distance, etc. Worm gearing thermal analysis is added to the calculation of geometry and safety coefficients (wear, seizure, deflection, fatigue break). The calculation is in accordance with DIN 3996, DIN 3975-1, DIN 3975-2 and ANSI/AGMA 6022-C93 and /AGMA 6034-B92. Outputs to 2D and 3D CAD systems are supported. PTC To Acquire Leading PDS Provider CoCreate For $250 Million
The Product Development Company®, announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire CoCreate Software GmbH, a provider of PLM and CAD modeling solutions for approximately $250 million. CoCreate, based in Sindelfingen, Germany, is privately held, has 280 employees and more than 5,000 customers globally including Agilent, Canon, Fisher Controls, Fujitsu, HP, Liebherr, Matsushita Electric, NEC, Olympus, Phoenix Contact and Seiko Epson.
With the acquisition of CoCreate, PTC will broaden its portfolio and offer support for the most comprehensive range of modeling techniques in the MCAD industry. PTC plans to integrate the CoCreate modeling solutions with the PTC Product Development System (PDS) in order to offer CoCreate customers additional product development capabilities including engineering calculations, dynamic publishing, visualization, high-speed machining, and enterprise content and process management, and ultimately, the option of using their modeling solutions also as part of the PTC PDS.

BOSCH Group Deploys PTC Windchill As Global Data Management Platform
The Product Development Company®, today announced that Robert Bosch GmbH, headquartered in Stuttgart (Germany), plans to deploy Windchill PDMLink at numerous business units to improve their product development processes. In a joint project, Bosch Corporate Information Technology (CI) and PTC global services are going to implement Windchill PDMLink to better manage Pro/ENGINEER® data, which is the standard CAD/CAM/CAE solution at many Bosch business divisions. The new platform reduces the number of system configurations and harmonizes data management at the different business units. The single platform enables the reuse of data within the business units and improves collaboration as more and more product information with increasing complexity has to be managed globally. The decision to implement the PTC® Product Development System (PDS) was also driven by Bosch’s strategic requirement for a global Web-based IT architecture.

COGRAS concluded Partner Agreement with the company Immersive Design, Inc. based on which we can resell the Immersive Product Animator (IPA).
- IPA creates interactive animations of product designs directly from 3D CAD solid modelers.
- IPA is in use at more than 1200 customer sites in 22 countries worldwide. Customers range from fitness product and consumer product manufacturers to underground mining equipment and diesel engine providers.

Second phase of INSCAPE custom project finished
After more than 2 years of development and debugging the second phase of our custom project for the Canadian company INSCAPE was finished. The purpose of this project is to automate sheet metal part placement in the production of office furniture.
The next phase of the custom project for the company INSCAPE will be solved together with our new partner – the company ORSES Oakville, the reseller of PTC technologies in Canada.

New product Advanced Drawing Language Translator (ADLT) released. ADLT provides automated translation of texts on Pro/ENGINEER drawings. ADLT application – fully integrated in Pro/ENGINEER – translates texts from the drawing elements (notes, balloons, tables, drawing dimensions, drawing parameters, symbols) giving the user full control over the translation process.
