IPA creates interactive animations of product designs directly from 3D CAD solid modelers. By using the CAD data to generate animations, this allows product designs to be visualized before the physical prototype stage.

These animations help
- communicate design intent
- assembly/disassembly methods
- repair instructions and service information to the shop floor
- remote field locations and even customers
Once an animation is created, an interactive web page can be published quickly and easily with the help of the IPA Web Publishing Wizard. The IPA user controls access to this web page by specifying the page location, either behind the company firewall or on a public site. The web page communicates product information such as bill-of-materials, assembly sequences, disassembly instructions, even links to other web sites, to downstream 'product information consumers'.
